What do you get when you mix Yellow with Blue? GREEN!
April 24th Wine Tasting of Yellow and Blue Wines. Argentina Malbec and Chilean Sauvignon Blanc.
Founded in 2007, the wines from Yellow and Blue became the United State’s ONLY Carbon Neutral Wine!
What does this mean?
The Wine industry has a huge Carbon Footprint created by the glass, labels, pesticides, chemicals and transportation. Transportation being the greatest contributor. A traditional case of wine weighs about 40lbs and holds 9 liters of wine. A ratio of 50% wine to 50% packaging. Yellow and Blue’s Tetra Pack wine weighs 26lbs and holds 12 liters of wine. A ratio of 93% wine and 7% packaging.
An actual calculation was done, and it was found that Yellow and Blue wines reduce the carbon foot print by 46%. The other 54% of Carbon emitted is offset with credits from Renewable Choice Energy
